Fuquay Gun is honored to have received so many nice comments from our customers. From Raleigh to Fayetteville, our focus on providing excellent customer service has attracted many satisfied customers.

I have been doing business with Fuquay Gun and Gold for over a decade. As an IDPA member and ESP Expert I have found them to have all my shooting needs. As an NRA pistol instructor, I have brought my first time shooters by to see the many types of handguns available. Ive found the staff to be very knowledgeable and accommodating. I recommend my students buy their weapons there for that reason. I’ve been to all the others but they are superior to them all.

Hi, this is Hector and I took the Concealed Carry class on 2-1-15, taught by David Alan Page. I just wanted to say that I had an excellent experience taking this course and I will be recommending it to all my friends. Mr. Page is an awesome instructor and his teaching style is top notch. He took his time to explain the subject matter in a very comprehensive way. He also engaged every single class member in a way to get everyone involved. Hats off to you, Fuquay Gun and Mr. David Alan Page!

I just took your CC course Saturday, January 31st. I have been going to the range with my husband but was still feeling insecure and knew I had some issues with my stance. The instructor, David Alan Page, was amazing. Having taken many legal courses, I know how dry and boring they can be. Mr. Page was knowledgeable AND interesting. Not only did he teach the required material but he also had a wealth of “real-world” knowledge – and immense humor – to impart that I found very helpful in not only facilitating learning but also in making me feel comfortable. He is not only a really good instructor but he is also an amazing coach. He effectively helped me to identify the issues with my stance and correct them. By the time I was shooting to qualify, I was comfortable and self-assured. I passed with flying colors and a few compliments from Mr. Page. I would, and have, highly recommended your course to several other female friends of mine.

Wanted to pass along my Kudo’s to the type and quality of employees you have in your business. I have bought about 6 guns and a bunch of accessories since you opened your new location. Your guys are dead honest, listen well, and are very cordial to customers. I never have to wait even when you guys are busy…which is often. I know as an owner, you like to hear how your team is doing, and felt it was proper to let you know. Look forward to taking the conceal course in a few weeks.

I just finished the concealed carry class with Robert Strickland. Just wanted to say I appreciated the way he taught the class. He is very knowledgable and a good commuacator. Thank you Robert!

I wanted to let you know what an excellent class we had with Officer Strickland for the CCL this past Saturday. No surprise to you I’m sure, he is a great instructor, very much on top of the subject matter, and shows his passion for helping new gun owners start things the right way. Your facilities were top notch and everything we needed was supplied for a safe and rewarding day! Hope to see you soon around the store. Thanks again!

You’re doing it all wrong. This isn’t how a gun store is supposed to be run.

I walked in there, a non-shooter, knowing nothing about guns, had no intention of making a purchase, AND it was 20 minutes to closing. The expectation was, of course, to immediately be identified as an outsider, to be met with glaring, suspicious stares, and purposefully be ignored until my level of discomfort was sufficient to warrant a quick exit. But it didn’t happen that way. Instead, I was quickly greeted by Wes. Rather politely, too. This confused me.

Not wanting to waste his time, I admitted that I was visiting on a whim and really had no reason to be there. Surely, I thought, this would allow him to tend to more important matters, yet he didn’t dismiss me. In fact he offered to answer any questions I have. Did I mention I’m from Connecticut? Isn’t there something in the Ole’ Boys Club code of conduct against engaging a greenhorn Yankee with such helpful assistance? Maybe it was just Wes who didn’t get the memo. Either way, I started thinking that maybe this firearms thing is something I could get into.

Well, I played along and proceeded to inquire about the most fundamental basics of the trade. Not once did he chuckle, roll his eyes, sigh impatiently, or even check his watch. In fact, I felt I was being given the same attention as a long time, loyal customer. I wasn’t given scripted, pat answers, rather, I heard examples from his experience, personal preference, and he even asked me questions to get a better feel for where I was coming from. You guys sure run a strange operation.

Upon my departure I was surprised to see I had actually kept everyone past closing time. If not for the locked front door I would not have noticed, as no one was hinting that it was time to leave. Let me let you in on a little secret: Shutting off the lights and stacking employees by the door, rattling their keys usually sends a clear message for customers to get out. This method of all employees going about their business and cheerfully wishing me a good night as I pass will only make you late for dinner.

I returned a couple weeks later, still skeptical but feeling a bit more comfortable. This time Doug greeted me, and even though I stated up front that I had been working with Wes, he graciously walked me through the remainder of my rookie questions and showed me a few models. What’s wrong with you people? I fully anticipated feeling awkward, intimidated even, having attempted to infiltrate what I assumed to be a tightly guarded, closed off society of firearms experts. What do I find instead? Nothing but warm, welcoming folks, eager to bring a newcomer into their world.

Well, I gave up trying to figure it out. The next time I showed up with my pistol purchase in hand, and Wes assured me of my decision. It was several weeks after our initial contact, yet he immediately recognized and greeted me as a returning customer. As we went through the final steps of the purchase he seemed almost excited as I was about me becoming a first time gun owner.

It’s not what I expected, but it seems to be working.
My thanks to your entire staff,
Matt

I don’t get down there as much as I’d like as I’m in N. Raleigh, but when I’m in the area I always stop here. The guys are always very nice and helpful to me so I love going in and see what they have in stock – always hoping they have the ammo I need as it is in demand everywhere!

This is the way gun stores should be. We were greeted immediately, asked if we could be helped, and I do have to credit Chase for a valiant effort in trying to explain firearms to my wife. Selection and prices were great. I ended up with a nice Smith and Wesson revolver for myself and my wife. We will definitely be back next time we’re in the area.

I’ve taken classes with FG&G and bought a couple of fire arms from them. It’s always been a positive experience. I’ve never felt rushed or pushed, but everyone has always been willing to take their time and discuss things with me. I always feel like I walk out the door knowing more than I did when I came. It’s a 45 min drive past a half dozen other gun shops, and I’ll chose to make the trip every time. I would make the trip for the service, but the prices and value for the dollar can’t be beat either. Maybe I’m drinking the Kool-Aid, but as long as we live in the area I know where my gun dollar is going.

I traveled 30 min out of my way (from Raleigh) to check these guys out because they had great customer service reviews and i was not disappointed. I went in to check on some possible guns for cc. i got there around 4 o clock and the place was pretty busy. Because i wasn’t planning on buying that day i stayed out of paying customers way till i saw an opening.I was looking at some pistols through the glass for a total of probably 5 seconds before an associate asked if he could help me out. I asked to look at some pistols and he kindly obliged. he also answered all of my ammo questions. When i informed him i wasn’t planning on buying he told me about the lay away program but not in a pushy way, just a “hey by they way” kind of way. Overall i would highly recommend this business because of their friendly, customer satisfaction oriented and knowledgeable staff.

These guys are solid. I know my weapons and so do they. They are courteous and know how to make a sale! Prices are very competitive and their shooting classes are excellent for novice and experienced alike. (my wife loved handgun 101 and the officer that taught it). The staff is very friendly, not your typical arrogant gun shop guy. I would send experienced gun folks as well as first time buyers to Clay and his crew anytime

I have visited several times and on each occasion been promptly greeted by pleasant and informed associates. I have made several firearm purchases both new and used and in each case been very pleased. While the shop does not have the largest inventory it is adequate and they are quick to remind you that they are happy to special order items.
